On December 12, Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., addressed the “Family in Time of Change” conference in Krakow, Poland, on “Understanding and Combatting the Global Sexual Revolution.”
The two-day event was sponsored by the Auxilium Foundation, a network of more than 100 therapists who provide counseling for families and operate an emergency hotline.
The Auxilium Foundation’s aim of the conference was to “create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience by scientists, practitioners and, above all, family members from different parts of the world.”
Morse said, “This conference was an inspiring gathering at a location deeply steeped in the legacy of Pope St. John Paul II. I am confident that the people of Poland will carry his dedication to strengthening the family forward to the next generation.”
The conference was attended by more than 30 Polish mayors, among other officials and leaders.
Other speakers included Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz (Senior Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Krakow), Marlena Malag (Minister of Family and Social policy in the Polish government), Fr. Robert Sirico (Founder and Honorary President of the Acton Institute), Solene Tadie (EWTN News), Priscilla Kulczyk (European Centre for Law and Justice, France), Prof. Francisco Jose Contreras (Dept. of Philosophy of Law, University of Seville, Spain and member of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies) and Marcin M. Rzegocki, Ph.D. (Managing Dir., Auxilium Foundation).
The Ruth Institute is expanding its involvement with the international pro-family movement. Last month, Morse addressed the “Demography and Culture of Relationships Conference” in Budapest, Hungary.
In March, Ruth Institute Communications Director Don Feder spoke at the “International Summit of Pro-Life and Pro-Family Organizations” in Guatemala City on “Demographic Winter: The Fatal Fall of Fertility Worldwide.”
In February, Morse will be speaking at Family Life International’s Pro-Life and Pro-Life Family Conference in New Zealand.
The Ruth Institute is a global non-profit organization leading an international interfaith coalition to defend the family and build a civilization of love.
